Series Title: "Born to be Wild"
Sunday April 27 - May 18, 2008
One of the greatest fallacies about the Christian life is that it is boring. Wrong! Living a life fully devoted to Jesus is a lot of things, but boring surely is not one of them. To the contrary, serving Jesus with all of your heart is the most exciting and exhilarating you can ever do. Why? Because that is how you were designed – to live for Him. Whether you know it or not, you were Born to be Wild! In this series we will look at four individuals from scripture and see how their devotion to God changed their lives – and how it can change yours too!
Sunday April 27 - John
If the adjective "wild" ever fit a person, it has to be John the Baptist. The Bible tells us that his clothes were made of camel hair, and he ate locust and wild honey. But there was much more to John than just a fashion and lifestyle statement…he was on a divine mission, one that had been prophesied to more than 700 years before he was born! He was called to make way for the messiah – Jesus Christ himself. Let’s examine this unique man of God and the impact he made on the ministry of Jesus.

Sunday May 4
God moves before us and with us at Crossroads each and every day. He will deliver a permanent church facility as a means to refine us instead of to define us as His faithful followers. Until that time comes, He only looks for those courageous enough to serve Him completely and humbly seek His ways through the GRACE of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 states, "Those who are in Christ are a new creation… The new has come and the old has gone." The TRUE CHURCH is made up of HIS new creations. Let's continue to BE THE CHURCH daily and never become a CHURCH that is defined by a building!

Sunday May 11 - Mary
No conversation of lives lived to the fullest for God would be complete without Mary, the mother of Jesus. Sometimes we take her story for granted, because it is so familiar. But when you stop and think about what God asked her to do – be the mother of the Savior of the world! How she responded, it is almost unbelievable. But true it is, and we will explore her life and times as we continue our series “Born to be Wild”.
Sunday May 18 - Jonah
If you are talking with friends about wild stories and adventures, our friend Jonah from the Old Testament, would have one that no one could beat. He lived in the belly of a whale for 3 days. Top that one! What, you ask, was he doing in the belly of a whale? Glad you asked! And in this message we will explore not only the answer to that question, but many others as we learn lessons from one of the most famous men in the Bible.
